Catholic Cemeteries of the Diocese of Metuchen exist to meet the needs of individuals and families before, at the time of death and burial, and throughout bereavement.
Message from Bishop Bootkoski
Dear Friends in Christ,
It is important that we always remember and give thanks for Jesus' promise of eternal life-that promise is the heart of our Catholic Faith. Catholic cemeteries are fitting places for us to visit, to pray, to remember, to grieve and to heal.
These cemeteries and mausoleums are places where the deaths that we have experienced in our families and God's promise of meeting again in eternal life find their connection.
Our beloved dead await final resurrection and the call to join the communion of saints-this is our destiny as well. Please join me in striving to live a life worthy of that call so that, one day, we will be with the Lord and our beloved once again in eternal life.
Sincerely in the Lord,
Most Rev. Paul G. Bootkoski
Bishop of Metuchen
