Jacqueline Simpson-Dunne is a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and a Pediatric Mental Health Specialist. Through her education, experience and empathic nature, Jackie is uniquely suited to treat children and adolescents with behavioral health conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, post- traumatic stress disorder and mood disorders. Jackie has also worked extensively with children and adolescents with co-morbid conditions.

Here at the Life Solution Center, Jackie conducts comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents with a behavioral health diagnosis, clinical formulation and treatment recommendations. Jackie provides psychopharmacological interventions and monitoring of her patients on medication. However, she does not limit her practice to medication management, but assesses each child’s mental and emotional triggers, including family and school based stressors, as a means to develop a course of treatment for the child. Jackie utilizes a family engagement framework and maintains a positive collaborative relationship with primary care practitioners and key community partners i.e. therapists, schools, hospitals etc. Through proper medication management, Jackie’s patients suffering from behavioral health issues combined with a learning disability, have experienced significant success in terms of improved grades, school socialization and behavior.

Jackie also works at the Child Guidance Center of Southern Ct. providing psychiatric treatment and medication management for high risk, complex and co-morbid conditions. Jackie has also has extensive experience working with children and adolescents in the ER setting providing crisis intervention for patients with an acute psychiatric illness.

Jackie earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Columbia University. She has worked at some of the finest hospitals, including Memorial Sloan Kettering, Columbia University Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital. Jackie has also served as adjunct professor for graduate and undergraduate students at Columbia University School of Nursing, Yale University, University of Connecticut, and the College of New Rochelle.
